About the Journal

The Insight Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research, clinical studies, and case reports in gastroenterology, hepatology, and digestive sciences. The journal provides a platform for researchers, clinicians, and academicians to share innovative findings, evidence-based studies, and translational research that advance patient care globally.


Manuscript Types

We accept the following types of submissions:

  • 1. Original Research Articles: Full-length articles presenting original clinical or laboratory-based research.

    2. Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews summarizing current knowledge on a topic.

    3. Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses: Evidence-based summaries using standardized methodology.

    4. Case Reports & Case Series: Well-documented single or multiple patient cases that provide clinical insight.

    5. Clinical & Endoscopic Images: High-quality images with short explanatory text for educational purposes.

    6. Short Communications: Brief reports of preliminary findings or observations.

    7. Editorials & Letters to the Editor: Commentary or discussion on recent research published in the journal.


Submission Requirements

  • 1. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

    2. Submissions must be in English, written in Times New Roman, 12 pt font, with 1.5 line spacing and numbered pages.

    3. All submissions must include ethical compliance statements where applicable.


Manuscript Structure

Include:

  • 1. Manuscript type

    2. Full title (without abbreviations)

    3. All authors’ names, affiliations, and highest academic degrees

    4. Corresponding author’s contact details (email and phone)

    5. Short running title


Abstract & Keywords

  • 1. Research articles: Structured abstract (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion), 150–250 words

    2.Case reports/clinical images: Unstructured abstract, 150–200 words

    3.Include 3–6 keywords relevant to the study


Main Text

Original Research: Introduction ? Methods ? Results ? Discussion ? Conclusion ? Declarations

Case Reports / Case Series: Introduction ? Case Presentation ? Discussion ? Conclusion ? Declarations


Figures & Tables

  • 1. Figures/images must be high-resolution (?300 dpi)

    2. Submit figures separately (JPEG/PNG preferred)

    3.Tables must be editable and clearly numbered with descriptive captions


References

  • 1.Use Vancouver style, numbered in order of citation

    2. Include relevant recent literature and standard journal abbreviations


Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review, meaning the authors and reviewers are anonymous.

  • 1.Initial editorial check for formatting, ethics, and plagiarism

    2. Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two expert reviewers

    3. Reviewers assess originality, methodology, clarity, and clinical relevance

    4. Authors may be asked to revise manuscripts based on reviewer comments


Ethics & Integrity

  • 1. Plagiarism checks are mandatory for all submissions

    2. Clinical studies require ethics committee approval

    3. Informed consent is required for case reports and images

    4. Conflicts of interest and funding sources must be disclosed

Open Access Policy

All published articles are freely accessible online to ensure maximum visibility and dissemination. Authors retain copyright under the journal’s license.

Explanation: Open access allows researchers and clinicians worldwide to read and cite your work freely.

Withdrawal Policy

  • 1. Authors may withdraw a manuscript before or during the peer-review process by submitting a written request.

    2. Once a manuscript is accepted or published, withdrawal is only permitted after payment of the applicable withdrawal fee.

    1. Requests must come from the corresponding author, with confirmation from all co-authors

    2.The withdrawal fee covers editorial evaluation and processing efforts

    3.No refund of publication or processing charges is provided after withdrawal

    4.The journal maintains records for editorial and ethical purposes

Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • 1. APC is typically required after acceptance to cover editorial, production, and publishing costs

    2. Waivers may be provided for authors from low-income countries or students
